Information for Overseas Dentists
Dentists must hold qualifications registrable with the Dental Board of Western Australia. Most qualifications from Ireland, United Kingdom and New Zealand are fully registrable. Qualifications from South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Canada and the United States may be eligible for temporary registration for up to 3 years, by which time the dentist must complete the Australian Dental Council Clinical Assessment and obtain full registration.


Information for Dental Therapists
Dental Therapists must hold a locally awarded qualification or one registrable with the Dental Board of Western Australia. The registration of interstate and overseas applicants is considered by the Dental Board of Western Australia on a case by case basis. Dental Health Services provides a clinical bridging and induction program for approved applicants.
